Part-Time Maids in Al Wasl

Our minimum booking is three hours, but very few Al Wasl homes are a three hour job. A family villa here generally needs a longer visit, and we will tell you what yours takes once we know the bedroom count and whether there is a garden. Honest numbers up front are cheaper for everyone than a rushed finish.

Two or three visits a week is the most common pattern with our Al Wasl customers, and for a house this size it is the more sensible way round. Shorter visits more often keeps a villa even, where one long visit a week means it is spotless on Monday and gone again by Thursday.

Washing and ironing can be part of the same visit, and in a family home it is often the part that makes the most difference. Washed, ironed, folded and put away, done the way you like it, by the same maid every time.

For regular bookings you get the same maid every visit. In a villa there is simply more to learn than in an apartment — which rooms get used, where things live, how you like the kitchen left — and you should only have to explain it once.

We are careful about who we send into your home. Our part-time maids are Filipino ladies, each with a minimum of five years working as domestic staff in the Middle East, and every Filipino maid we hire goes through a thorough vetting process before she joins us. We check that she genuinely knows how to clean properly and how to handle the equipment, that her English is good enough to understand what you ask for and tell you what she has done, and that she is someone you will be glad to have in your home every week.

Every cleaner who comes to you is employed directly by Lavender Housecare, with a valid Emirates ID and residence visa. We do not subcontract. It is why our staff get through building security without a problem, and why we can promise you the same person every visit.

We do take same-day bookings when we can. We are often quite busy, so it depends on your area and who is free, but it costs nothing to ask — message us and we will tell you straight away whether we can get somebody to you today.

Al Wasl is villas and low-rise compounds rather than towers, running between Jumeirah and Al Safa either side of Al Wasl Road. Homes here are family sized: several bedrooms, more than one bathroom, usually a garden or a yard, and often a maid's room and a separate laundry. That is a different job from an apartment and it needs a different number of hours.

Older Al Wasl villas also tend to have more of everything a clean has to reach — more floor, more windows, more built-in storage and more doors to the outside bringing dust in. We would rather quote you for what the house actually takes than send somebody for a standard slot and leave half of it undone.
