Our minimum booking is three hours, which suits an apartment here well. A villa or townhouse in Sidra, Maple or the Parkways generally needs longer — more bedrooms, more bathrooms, two floors and usually a garden door that brings the outside in. We will tell you honestly what your home needs rather than sending somebody for three hours and hoping.

Two or three visits a week is the most common pattern for our Dubai Hills customers, and for a family villa it is usually the more sensible way round: shorter visits more often keeps a big house even, where one long visit a week means it is spotless on Monday and gone by Thursday.

Washing and ironing can be part of the same visit, and in a family home that is often the part that makes the difference. Washed, ironed, folded and put away — tell us how you like it and the same maid will do it that way every time.

For regular bookings you get the same maid every visit. In a villa that matters more than in an apartment, because there is more to learn: which rooms get used, where things live, and how you like the kitchen left.

We are careful about who we send into your home. Our part-time maids are Filipino ladies, each with a minimum of five years working as domestic staff in the Middle East, and every Filipino maid we hire goes through a thorough vetting process before she joins us. We check that she genuinely knows how to clean properly and how to handle the equipment, that her English is good enough to understand what you ask for and tell you what she has done, and that she is someone you will be glad to have in your home every week.

Every cleaner who comes to you is employed directly by Lavender Housecare, with a valid Emirates ID and residence visa. We do not subcontract. It is why our staff get through building security without a problem, and why we can promise you the same person every visit.

We do take same-day bookings when we can. We are often quite busy, so it depends on your area and who is free, but it costs nothing to ask — message us and we will tell you straight away whether we can get somebody to you today.

Dubai Hills Estate is really two kinds of job in one community. The villas and townhouses in Sidra, Maple and the Parkways run to three, four and five bedrooms over two floors, with gardens, more bathrooms than an apartment and stairs to carry equipment up. The apartment buildings around Park Heights and the golf course are a different shape of work entirely.

The practical difference is hours rather than method. A four bedroom villa will not be done properly in the time a two bedroom apartment takes, and we would rather tell you that before you book than run out of time on the day. Tell us which sub-community and how many bedrooms and we will give you an honest number.
