Downtown turns over faster than almost anywhere else in Dubai, and most of our deep cleaning here is tied to somebody moving. That makes it part logistics as well as cleaning. Some buildings prefer a move permit from building management for move-in and move-out work, and some set hours for it; others ask for neither. Almost every Downtown apartment is tiled, and tiled floors weather. The surface dulls and the grout darkens in a way no amount of mopping reverses. We have specialist floor scrubbing and polishing machines for exactly this, and on a deep clean we will bring them on request — it is usually the single most visible difference between an apartment that has been cleaned and one that has been restored.

Downtown apartments are also full of built-in cupboards and fitted wardrobes, and those are where a deep clean is either done properly or not. Our cleaners work inside them shelf by shelf rather than wiping what can be reached from the doorway. It takes longer and it is the part we care most about getting right.

Balconies are the other clear difference. On a regular clean a balcony gets a sweep; on a deep clean it gets the railings, the glass on both sides and the floor scrubbed, which in Downtown means shifting a season of construction dust and Boulevard traffic film.

Move-in cleans on a newly handed-over apartment are a different problem again. That work is construction dust, glass and grout rather than grease, and it needs the floor equipment more than it needs hours. Book it before your furniture arrives if you possibly can — it is a far better result and usually a cheaper one.

Downtown is one of the densest parts of Dubai to clean in, and almost all of it is high-rise. Most of our work here is one and two bedroom apartments where the whole job happens on a single floor — which sounds simple, except that getting a cleaner and the equipment forty floors up is genuinely half the logistics. Nearly every Emaar-managed tower routes contractors through the service lift, and most security desks want the visit registered against your unit first, so we ask for your building name when you book and sort that in advance.

Old Town is different. It is low-rise, and the apartments are larger for the same bedroom count with more traditional finishes. In practice the difference is time rather than method: a bigger apartment needs more hours to do properly, and we allow for that when we quote.
