Part-Time Maids in Downtown Dubai

Most of our Downtown customers book two or three times a week rather than weekly — apartments here are lived in hard and it is easier to keep on top of one than to rescue it later. Our minimum is three hours per booking, which for a one or two bedroom apartment is usually enough for a full clean. Three hours is about the time it takes to walk down to the Boulevard, have a coffee, do a class and come back: most of our Downtown customers are not home while we work.

Our maids also do washing and ironing, and in Downtown that is often the real reason people call. If you are working long hours, the laundry is the job that never gets done, and having it washed, ironed and put away two or three times a week changes the week more than the floors do. Tell us how you want it handled and it becomes part of the regular visit.

For regular bookings you get the same maid every time, so the building access, the parking arrangement and the way you like the kitchen done only get explained once. In a Downtown tower that matters more than it sounds: the maid who already knows which lift, which desk and which floor is not spending your first twenty minutes finding out.

One thing worth knowing if your apartment faces the Boulevard or the fountain: the glass takes a beating. Dust settles on the inside of floor-to-ceiling windows far faster here than further out, and interior glass and the sliding-door tracks are the two things Downtown customers most often add to a regular clean. Say so when you book and we will build the time in rather than rushing it at the end.

We are careful about who we send into your home. Our part-time maids are Filipino ladies, each with a minimum of five years working as domestic staff in the Middle East, and every Filipino maid we hire goes through a thorough vetting process before she joins us. We check that she genuinely knows how to clean properly and how to handle the equipment, that her English is good enough to understand what you ask for and tell you what she has done, and that she is someone you will be glad to have in your home every week.

Every cleaner who comes to you is employed directly by Lavender Housecare, with a valid Emirates ID and residence visa. We do not subcontract. It is why our staff get through building security without a problem, and why we can promise you the same person every visit.

Downtown is one of the densest parts of Dubai to clean in, and almost all of it is high-rise. Most of our work here is one and two bedroom apartments where the whole job happens on a single floor — which sounds simple, except that getting a cleaner and the equipment forty floors up is genuinely half the logistics. Nearly every Emaar-managed tower routes contractors through the service lift, and most security desks want the visit registered against your unit first, so we ask for your building name when you book and sort that in advance.

Old Town is different. It is low-rise, and the apartments are larger for the same bedroom count with more traditional finishes. In practice the difference is time rather than method: a bigger apartment needs more hours to do properly, and we allow for that when we quote.
